Worked with a nice ottb. He hadnt been handled and given boundaries when he was young, sent off to racehorse training, now he's ready for his next life, but he still has the baby behaviour of no boundaries. He wasn't too terribly committed to his ideas of running his shoulder through me, or taking off whenever he got worried. I gave him the space to understand what feel i'd like to have with him, and that pushing is no longer in his vocabulary (for now at least). She's hoping to take him to Expo this December. I think if the owner really takes her time and thinks of him as a baby and not a horse with training, they could come along really nicely. Ill see them again on the 23rd.

Went to a dressage show with Belle, my goals were having precise figures and a slow trot with her. Judges comments were that she needed to go faster, mission complete.
Started working her in a curb to see if the distrubution of pressure is something she'd prefer. 100% better, quieter. Generally more cooperative. After the last few rodes her hives are better. I think being in a more parasympathetic position during work could be the ticket for her stress. Hope to have her worked on by Dr. Atria soon.
maxx's PSSM2 symptoma are flaring. Couls be because he is pastured with Belle and he's not getting enough alfalfa and sleep... tying Belle while Maxx eats. Symptoms are taking off into canter when asked to go forward while riding, and lack of breathing.

Circles over poles in trot and canter. Shes starting to get loftier over the poles and jumping over in canter. Canter felt much smoother.

​Show at Mardanza with Neira. Novice test A eventing dressage. She was stellar, judge said she was very steady.

Beach ride with Belle on Amelia Island. Really windy, quieted down after about 20 min. Got a good gallop in.
